The co-operative COFRUM was founded in 1937. COFRUM is an abbreviation of the italian name “Cooperativa Frutticoltori Marengo”.
Since 1945 it is a member of the VOG. In 2002 COFRUM merged with the co-operative Tscherms and in 2008 with the co-operative Gargazon-Tisens.
Thanks to the merger with Lagundo co-operative - the first to be founded in 1893 - COFRUM is now the largest co-operative of VOG:
615 members cultivate aprox. 1.450 hectares of land and supply each year 87,500,000 kg of fruit.
Today the co-operative is equipped with modern warehouse, sorting and packaging equipment as well as loading ramps.
