The co-operative COFRUM was founded in 1937. COFRUM is an abbreviation of the italian name “Cooperativa Frutticoltori Marengo”.

Since 1945 it is a member of the VOG. In 2002 COFRUM merged with the co-operative Tscherms and in 2008 with the co-operative Gargazon-Tisens.

Under the name COFRUM, 441 members cultivate 1,035 hectares of land.

2011 it supplied 56,397,378 kg of fruit.

Today the co-operative is equipped with modern warehouse, sorting and packaging equipment as well as loading ramps.
