VOG AT THE GRAN FONDO CROSS-COUNTRY SKI EVENT IN VAL CASIES

A passionately popular annual winter sports event that for many years has drawn devoted connoisseurs and dedicated athletes to one of the most stunningly beautiful valleys in the South Tyrol. This is the Val Casies Gran Fondo, the traditional cross-country skiing marathon held this year on the 18th and 19th of February.

For the 2012 edition, the VOG Consortium once again took part in this prestigious event, and its Marlene^® brand was a visible presence along the 30 kilometer and 42 kilometer courses to incite the participants onwards towards the finishing line. For example, a huge inflatable Marlene^® arch marked  the intermediate 20 km sprint point. And the seven apple varieties bearing the small blue label were distributed throughout the race to all competitors keen to recharge their energy resources.
 
The VOG Consortium has been a partner of the Gran Fondo event for many years, and is always delighted to support open-air sporting events: a heartfelt priority for the Consortium which also finds expression in long-term sponsorship arrangements with athletes like Armin Zöggeler, the sledding ace, and Maximilian Vieider, the highly promising young South Tyrolean mountain bike star.
