VOG’s new strategy for 2010

To tackle the new challenges of the market, VOG has decided to implement a strategic reorganization of its sales system. The goal is to improve efficiency and satisfy customers to an even greater extent.

Beginning on August 1, the VOG Association will be coordinating the entire sales process, and invoicing will be handled centrally. The Consortium’s 17 fruit and vegetable cooperatives will be grouped into four “pools”: Pool Meran, Pool Bozen West, Pool Bozen Süd and Pool Unterland. In this new sales system, the managers of the cooperatives will be directly responsible for sales and will service specifically designated markets and customers. Organic products will continue to be sold through the “Bio Südtirol” cooperative. For club varieties – such as Pink Lady®, Rubens® and Kanzi® – the point of contact will remain the sales office of the VOG Consortium, with headquarters in Terlano.
